Our pastors were reaching villages on local transport that was slow, unreliable and — for a Christian preacher in rural Pakistan — genuinely unsafe. So we started giving them motorbikes.
A pastor with no vehicle waits at the roadside for a shared van that may not come, pays a fare he cannot spare, and arrives after dark. Some villages he simply never reaches. And on that roadside, a Christian preacher with a Bible bag is visible, stationary and alone — which in parts of Pakistan is a real danger, not a theoretical one.
A motorbike changes the arithmetic completely. He leaves when he chooses. He reaches villages twenty and thirty kilometres out and comes home the same night. He carries Bibles, a speaker, a projector. One bike can double the number of communities a pastor serves.
These bikes go to pastors who have already proved faithful over years — men who were walking and waiting long before anyone offered them anything.
